The Best Blender Options For Cooking

By Luis Gambini

I love to cook. There is no doubt that the adrenalin rush that it gives me is unlike anything else. With a great number of kitchen equipment to choose from, my favorite is my blender.

Blenders come in a great variety of styles and sizes, and are made of polycarbonate, metal, glass or a combination of two or all of the items. It is commonly used to puree fruits and vegetable which what I use it primarily for. Common uses of blenders are crushing ice, emulsifying mixtures, turning somewhat solid food into pastes or minute particles, mixing and dissolving solid as well as liquid ingredients, among others.

In stores, you are bound to find three main types of blenders. When creating complicated recipes, hand-powered blenders is your best bet. It is very simple to use allowing you to get the needed texture and consistency of the recipe that you are creating. With spinning blades at the bottom, it is affordable and easy to use.

Immersion blenders can be operated by hand and very light-weight. Using this type of blender is for small recipes. What is usually done is turning fruits into puree, for example, by putting the fruit directly into the glass, cup or bowl. What you typically see in homes is what is commonly called the base and pitcher blenders. This style has different ways to blend your ingredients by opting to press any of the many buttons to chop, blend and more. It can accommodate more amount of food to be blended and are a lot more efficient in contrast to to the other types of blenders. More complex actions can be tolerated by this kind of blender. The base of the blender is where where the machine is located. The pitcher-like top which can be removed has the blades that are controlled by the base.

In purchasing blenders, you should consider some tips before you decide to do so. 1) Strength and Durability - Certain brands of blenders are associated with durability. Although affected by how you use the blender, power is also a determining factor in buying a blender. You want to get a blender that is long-lasting and does the job with ease and efficiency. 2) Usefulness - Depending on your typical uses of the blender, it is recommended that you go for the blender that offers many uses to optimize without you having to exert much effort. 3) Budget - You can get a blender from between $30 to several hundreds. Go for something that fits your budget because durable kitchen items do not need to pricey. Other factors that can affect your choice could include how the blender looks like, how handy the blender is or how much it is able to process in one usage. Basically, everything will still depend on your preferences.
